Florida Holidays

A holiday in Florida is full of sunshine and family friendly activities. Because of its climate, Florida is a beach lovers Mecca, from the eastern coast on the Atlantic Ocean to the western beaches and panhandle areas on the Gulf of Mexico; and some of the beaches come close to rivalling our own.

With probably America’s best sunshine record, Florida's beaches, family attractions, coral keys and Everglades just wait to be discovered. In central Florida Orlando and Kissimmee are famous for huge theme parks and family friendly activities. Spend a few days in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom; Universal’s Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure; and Sea World’s aquatic entertainment. The opportunities to exhaust your strength and your wallet are enormous.

But Florida isn’t all about beaches and theme parks; there’s a serious side to this state too. There’s a rich artistic and cultural vein running through and you’ll be amazed at the number and diversity of Florida’s galleries, museums and theatres. Home to many a great golfer, Florida's First Coast of Golf stretches 120km along the northeast coastline, so, if you're looking for a golfing holiday with challenging courses, first-class accommodation, great weather, at a reasonable price, then make the First Coast your destination.

The Florida Keys are a tropical delight with a warm seas and golden sands, and seem a million miles from the stress of the big city. Key West has everything for a warm-weather, beachside holiday, including countless restaurants and watering holes. See the Keys from more than 3km up, at 200 kph or more with a skydive. The Tandem skydive is a popular way to see the Keys and your Travel Counsellor can arrange it for you.

Then there’s Miami — a world-class city bursting with attractions, great architecture, water sports, nightlife and shopping. iconic Miami Beach beckons with its fabulous boulevards home to the beautiful people, bars, clubs and restaurants and sensational art deco architecture. There’s always something pumping in this vibrant city.
