Tahiti Holidays

A holiday in Tahiti is a holiday in a French tropical paradise. Tahiti and her 118 islands and atolls are world-renowned for their towering mountain peaks, tranquil crystal blue lagoons, white coral sand beaches and outlying reefs.

These unspoilt islands offer natural beauty and a romantic atmosphere found nowhere else on earth. From stunning upmarket resorts to islands so remote most visitors miss them, there’s so much to discover and enjoy.
With French style and Pacific hospitality Tahiti serves up a unique holiday experience. Her isolation in the South Pacific breeds exclusivity, and her resorts and hotels are typically at the upper scale of accommodation and service standards. Think deluxe overwater bungalows, rain showers in private gardens, sumptuous spas and the finest of French-influenced tropical cuisine.

The island of Tahiti is crowned with soaring peaks overlooking a rugged interior of deep valleys and waterfalls, lava tubes and ancient relics. Papeete, the capital city, is on her northwest coast and boasts a striking waterfront, world-class resorts and restaurants, nightclubs and exclusive shops and boutiques. While here, grab a meal at one of the colourful food wagons on the wharf. You’ll be treated to outstanding French and international cuisine at great budget prices.

Nearby Moorea is a tiny tropical gem that is all we imagine a South Pacific island to be. Surrounded by lagoons with white sand beaches and dominated by towering green peaks the shoreline is protected by a necklace of reefs. Visit the Moorea Dolphin Centre where you can watch, swim and play with these frolicsome creatures. The lagoon offers fantastic options for safe water activities like diving, parasailing and jetskiing and you can head into the lush hinterland to discover hidden historic sites.

Bora Bora is a postcard perfect tropical island, widely regarded as the most beautiful and romantic in the Pacific. Its famous lagoon offers an abundance of activities from snorkelling the coral reef to swimming alongside turtles and rays and the resorts that line its sparkling shoreline are among the most luxurious in the world.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge

I was fortunate enough to stay at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for the first time in August, and what an amazing experience it was. Nobody does ‘it’ like Disney, and by ‘it’ I mean find a way to work that little piece of magic into every part of your stay. This resort features amazing theming and service. From the moment you enter the Lodge you will find a breathtaking lobby and are transported to the great North West American wilderness areas of the turn of the last century. From totem poles, to a small creek, to a roaring fireplace, Disney does not disappoint. There is something so restful about this resort, and even though you will find the surroundings to be very relaxing don’t think this means you are too far from Disney’s theme parks. A boat ride to the Magic Kingdom is only an 8 minute trip away, and these depart every 15 minutes. A bus ride to all other Disney theme parks and Downtown Disney frequent often and I personally never waited more than 10 minutes. Another perk of staying... view full story
