This was our first family holiday in years and we had always wanted to travel up to the Daintree, in far North Queensland.
Our main requirement was to stay in an apartment as there are four of us, and we wanted to be able to cook some meals for ourselves. So we looked at our options for self contained apartments.
We stayed at a Mantra property in the heart of Port Douglas - The Mantra Heritage on Macrossan St. This location was exactly what we wanted. Close to all restaurants, a short walk to a park for the children and in walking distance to a four mile beach; we had everything at our fingertips.
We hired a small car, which gave us access to all the other activities that we wanted to do.
We had some wonderful adventures. We drove up into the Daintree and stopped off at the Discovery Centre.
