Rosemary has now been our travel advisor on two occasions. Last year we went on a cruise and this year we went on a Cosmos tour in Europe. She has been an excellent help to us both times. As well as being extremely patient (we tend to change our minds regarding accomodation etc.) she is very knowledgeable, easy to approach, punctual and kept in touch with us throughout the plannng stages.

Rosemary has been looking after my travel plans since 1987. She has always got me the best deal possible, even when you think it isn't going to go smoothly Rosie is always cheerful and positive. We all read and hear stories about so-and-so Travel Agent who state … “they are committed to providing great travel at the cheapest available price. Our consultants are experienced, highly trained experts, dedicated to finding the best travel deal for any destination and any budget. They are widely travelled and enthusiastic about travel and that they can help make your travel easier by offering you eTickets for ticketless travel on flights etc. etc.”
But let’s consider how this works? We are required to physically visit the traditional travel agent to realise our dreams; which as we all know can be an issue at times given the busy lives we all lead.
Let me share our experience from the recent China trip we have just taken with the assistance of Rosemary Metcalf from Travel Counsellors. China was a dream of ours given its history and culture … the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, Terracotta Warriors etc. On the recommendation of a friend, we contacted Rosemary who arranged to come to our home on a Sunday afternoon to discuss our plans. Yes, our home. Over a glass (or two) of champagne, we talked about the things we wanted to see and the places we wanted to go. The trip was to be a private tour with our own guides.
The following week, we caught up with Rosemary once again … yes, Sunday afternoon over a glass or two of champagne and worked our way through a raft of proposed options from various partners of Travel Counsellors … the great thing about Travel Counsellors being they are a global company with local connections and the options were vast.
Over several more home visits we finally arrived at our dream itinerary and can I say the outcome was sensational … perfect organisation, fabulous guides and wonderful China.
We cannot recommend Rosemary (and Travel Counsellors) enough for the brilliant one-on-one personalised travel planning and the great trip we had. Memories for life.
