Bula!! (Hello in Fijian),
If you are after a relaxing holiday where the locals are friendly and bubbly then Fiji is a wonderful place to take your next holiday. Whether your after a family holiday or a romantic getaway then Fiji has something to offer you, from 2 star right up to luxurious 5 star properties.
Some great reasons that make it so convenient for Australian's to visit Fiji:
-The flight is only short (approximately 4 hours from Sydney)
-There really is no jetlag, as there is only 2 hours time difference between Australian Eastern Time Zones and Fiji's Coral Coast
-Australian electrical outlets are used in Fiji
-Australian banks and ATM's are conveniently available in Fiji.
-English is spoken throughout most areas of Fiji
I have just arrived back from visiting the Coral Coast of Fiji for the first time and I can't wait to go back again for a great all inclusive break. My partner and I stayed at the Warwick Resort & Spa and we were very impressed. We stayed on an "all meals included package" and it was fantastic value. The biggest "stress" of the whole holiday was trying to decide what and where we would dine for lunch & dinner each day. The Warwick Resort & Spa has a fantastic coral beach, with fantastic snorkelling right at the resort. There are many activities available at the resort to keep you busy, such as: snorkelling, scubadiving, kayaks, paddleboats, minigolf, day spa, nightclub, weddings plus much more.
I visited the Kula Eco Park whilst on my stay on the Coral Coast, this was only a short taxi ride from the Warwick Resort & Spa and was a few hours well spent. You are able to hold snakes and Iguana's and there is a great range of colorful flora and fauna to keep you occupied, not to mention the gardens here are just gorgeous.
One thing that is a must for anyone staying on the Coral Coast, is the Sigatoka River Safari. The tour guides are funny and fantastic, the Jetboat ride is lots of fun and the visit to the local villages are a fantastic eye opener to the Fijian culture. I got to dance with the locals and join in on a sing along, try Kava during a kava ceremony, eat local food and mingle with the children of the local village. This tour made my trip to Fiji and I highly recommend this tour if you are staying on the Coral Coast.
I had a very relaxing break and would recommend the Coral Coast of Fiji to couples or families who would like to get away and relax on a great value for money holiday.
