Singapore Experience

Singapore is a destination where there is always something happening. Singapore conjures in the mind all that is synonymous with fun and satisfying. It is not without reason that Singapore is one of the most popular holiday destinations. Be it shopping, sightseeing or relaxing you can be sure that a holiday in Singapore guarantees all that and more. As it has found the perfect blend between the East and the West, being one of the most developed countries in Asia.

First time visitors it is a must to do a city tour, this will orientate you as well as give you a vast knowledge of the local culture, history, temples, shopping, how to get around and hot spots to see. Like most of Southeast Asia, Singapore is generally hot and humid. It's warm and humid year round, with the temperature almost never dropping below 20°C even at night, and usually climbing to 30°C during the day.

I strongly recommend a visit to the famous Singapore botanical gardens, also to do a tour to the world's first nighttime zoo safari takes you through 40 hectares of secondary jungle with an abundance of nocturnal animals it is also adjoining Singapore Zoo. Don't forget Universal Studios, Sentosa. Sentosa Island is a perfect escape where you can relax at the Shangri-La Sentosa Rasa Resort, where it has it's own beach. Perfect for Families and for anyone wanting a Resort holiday, with only one stop away on the train to the massive shopping mall of Vivo City. Vivo City is the perfect array for all shopping tastes.

No holiday would be complete without a total exploration of the local cuisine.Finding places to eat is no hassle at all. The selections are limitless from pavement cafes to fine dinning, with a range of cuisine on offer from Chinese to Mediterranean.

Of course no one who visits Singapore would leave without indulging in some good old fashion retail therapy and Singapore is a shopping mecca. Places such as the Orchard Road, Bugis Street, China Town, the Clarke Quay and Riverside Shopping and of course Little India are just some of the hot spots to visit. Singapore also has an abundance of shopping malls for those looking for designer and branded items. A visit to the Gem Factory must not be missed, with exotic carvings and amazing Gem Creations.

With easy access to public transport the MRT rail and local buses, it is definitely not a problem to access anywhere in Singapore. Taxi's are so cheap, and the MRT gives you easy access to anywhere around Singapore. No where is hard to get to!

The young and young at heart who would like to enjoy the nightlife will not be disappointed. As with most great holiday destinations Singapore transforms at night with some shopping malls having nightclubs that come to life once shopping hours are over. The Orchard nightlife, Civic district nightlife and the Marina Bay nightlife are just a very few of the options on offer.

I strongly recommend visiting the bar on the 70th floor of the Swissotel Hotel, the bar is has floor to ceiling windows giving you the most amazing views of the city, similar views at the new Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
It does cost a small fee but definitely worth it, especially at night to see the colour of the city.
Don't forget the Singapore Flyer, the tallest ferris wheel in the World, Breath taking Views.

Step back in time and visit the famous Raffles Hotel, at the Long Bar you can enjoy a Singapore Sling where it was invented and is one of the few places you are allowed to litter with throwing your peanut shells on the floor. High Tea also a must a Raffles but must be booked before you arrive so you don't miss out.

Being a melting pot of cultures as descents make up the population of Singapore everyone can feel at home as you will find a church, a temple and a mosque all close by to each other. What ever the experience you are looking for, in Singapore you will find it, in the best possible way!!

As a Stopover on your way to Europe, I would definitely recommend a minimum of 3-4 nights to fully appreciate and enjoy all Singapore has to offer. Singapore is also a major business hub and conferences, meetings or events I can also organise.
