Departure Date: 10/09/2019
Spend 5 nights in Tokyo combining a visit the famous sights with an exploration of the wilder side of the city by enjoying hiking routes that are just a stone’s throw away from the buzzing metropolis such as Takao-San and the small town of Nikko.
Mt Takao lies to the west of Tokyo and is an easy climb that requires very little experience. Views of Mt Fuji are offered on clear days, and the beautiful forest will help you to forget that there is a bustling metropolis nearby.
Nikko is a beautiful town with a whole host of UNESCO World Heritage Sites and natural beauty to its name. Many travellers choose to visit just for a day trip, but you will find that there is much more to explore if you have the luxury of staying in the region for an extra night. On this adventure, you will spend the first day exploring the best of Nikko’s World Heritage Sites with a knowledgeable guide while on the second day you are free to explore the national park at your leisure, hiking if you wish or just strolling if you prefer.
