Andrew searched for the exact date that I needed to Europe and came out with the best deal matching the dates I needed . It’s really nice to have my own advisor rather than an automated response

What an amazing holiday Andrew organised and booked for our family in Vietnam. With a young family Andrew made sure we had the perfect amount of fun, sight-seeing and relaxation. All of the hotels were fantastic and kid friendly. We had a couple of flight changes and he was there to amend the transfers without a hitch. I would highly recommend Andrew and our family has a holiday that we will always remember. Thank you.

Andrew recently assisted me when my usual travel agent was unable to assist. I approached 3 separate people from a major competitor at the same time due to a need for prompt Business Flights and the service level from Andrew far surpassed his competitors by helping secure the exact preferred flight, by making special requests and chasing the airline. He also assisted with accommodation services; Andrew was a patient, fast acting and amazing agent... one I will use in future and will recommend highly to anyone who is looking to book flights or make travel arrangements.

I have never had such personalized customer service from a Travel Agent. Andrew was very attuned to my concern at flying alone to Toronto. He went through my change of flights, baggage and every other worry I could come up with. Andrew is even going to meet with me prior to flying, to go through all I need to know to feel confident to make my journey safe and enjoyable. I truly cannot praise this lovely man enough. He even saved me close to $700, as this is how much more another agent wanted to charge me. I am telling all my family and friends they must book their next trip away with Andrew Turner.

As dawn broke over a cold and wintery Helsinki morning, AY132 from Singapore quietly flew over the city and landed at Vaanta Airport, around 35 minutes from the city. The city is easily accessible by bus, train or taxi. As my flight arrived in the wee hours of the morning, I had pre-booked a taxi as I wasn’t sure whether the trains or buses were running that early in the morning… but they were. I arrived at the Hotel Glo Art, which is about a 15 minute walk to the central CBD. Whilst it was too early for me to check...

Today I flew on the Qantas A330-300 aircraft from Brisbane to Singapore. There was the usual niceties at the cabin door "welcome aboard Mr Turner, nice to have you with us again" The first thing I noticed was that there was no premium economy seating on this aircraft, only business and economy. After a brief look at the business class lie flat bed, I wandered down to my assigned seat 48D. As the plane began to fill up, my hopes of having a spare seat next to me were dashed, but it didn't seem to matter that there was someone next...

Thanks to Jim Kehoe from Bondi NSW for his fantastic review: “The National Geographic G-Adventures 13-Day Tour of Morocco was amazing and happily memorable in every respect. As I look over my photos and the itinerary, I am astonished at how much we did, in what was nevertheless a relaxing vacation. Among many, many excellent things, the big highlight for me was a night in the Sahara, sleeping in the open under the stars in a crystal clear sky with zero light pollution. Other than an occasional breeze, the silence was also extraordinary. I have certainly slept under the stars many...

Well today I had the most WOW moments and it has truly exceeded all my expectations. Today I decided to hire a car and drive up the Icefields Parkway, and I am so glad I did. The Icefields parkway is the main highway between Lake Louise and Jasper. I didn’t get all the way to Jasper, but I was definitely treated to some truly spectacular scenery. First stop was the world famous Lake Louise, home of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, which sits majestically next to the lake. The lake is still frozen over from winter but there are small parts of...

Day 2 of the train Journey begins with an early departure out of Kamloops. Today we are experiencing the wonderful Silver Leaf service on board the train. So, what is the difference between gold and silver leaf, I hear you ask!!! Ok so the 3 main differences that I could see straight away were: 1. Silver leaf is single level with no separate dining area. The meals are served at your seat 2. The seats are not as luxurious and there is a tray table attached to the seat in front 3. The vestibule in Golf Leaf is much bigger and can hold 10 guests rather than 2...

Here we go on the Rocky Mountaineer. When I woke up this morning, I wasn’t really sure what I was expecting. Some of the things that I didn’t expect were that Rocky Mountaineer have their own train station from which it departs in Vancouver, and its only a 5-minute drive from the centre of the city. Another thing I didn’t expect was the gentlemen inside the station all dressed in his tuxedo playing the grand piano and the third thing I didn’t expect was the 364 other guests traveling on the train today. The “All Aboard” call was made right on the strike...

I am so happy I got to tick this off my bucket list. What an absolutely amazing trip I was lucky enough to travel on. A massive thank you to Tourism Vancouver, Rocky Mountaineer and Tourism Alberta for looking after me so well- this truly is the trip of a lifetime In Australia we have are predominantly a beach culture, loving the beach and the warm weather, I don’t think I could truly appreciate the other side of the weather spectrum until now. Day 2 in Vancouver was a bit more of a structured affair. Tourism Vancouver took charge today and we had a few things to tick off the must-do list in Vancouver. The main stops today are going to be Stanley Park, Capilano Suspension Bridge and Fly-Over Canada. The only thing halting our progress was Vancouver’s biggest fun run, which was on today, which closed quite a few of the main streets in the city, so things didn’t quite go to plan!!! Our first adventure for the day was to head out to explore Stanley Park. This place is a favourite amongst...

It’s been a few years since I was in the Cairns area but not a lot has changed except the weather was much better than the cyclonic conditions I found myself in last time. The centre of the city is still very compact and flat, so it’s easy to walk everywhere. Cairns really does have something for everyone. From budget and backpackers right up to the 5-star luxury resorts. There is so much to do, and you will be hard pushed to fit everything in if you are staying less than 5 days. There are many of the well know...

As we were flying into Sydney we got our first glimpse of this magnificent ship. The ship is so large, it almost overshadowed the beauty that is Sydney Harbour. Docked right across from the Opera House is one of the largest cruise ships in the world, and we were only minutes away from boarding the ship for our weekend away on the high seas. After a fairly smooth and quick boarding we scanned our boarding cards and jumped on board. This is my first real cruise, so I was a bit nervous about how it would go. Would it rock?...

I've been to Singapore a number of time but it’s been about 5 years since I have been back. Singapore has traditionally been a 2-3 nights stopover for Australians travelling to Europe, but it has really come into its own as a holiday destination, and I can see more and more people spending 5 to 7 nights, as there is so much to do. We jam packed our itinerary and here is a little review with the top 10 things we did: Day 1: Arrival Today we arrived in Singapore after our direct Qantas flight from Brisbane and transferred to the Park Hotel...

Most people think of Taiwan as being highly industrialized with lots of high rise buildings. I was very surprised when we left the city limits of Taipei, what we found was lots of open space, plenty of greenery and some stunning scenery. Below is a shortened version of my 5-day trip to Taiwan. I hope you like it. Day 1 After an 8 1/2 flight from Australia we touched down in Taipei early this morning. San Francisco is a beautiful bayside city with lots of charm and character with plenty to do and see, and definitely worth a look. If you have no need to stop in Los Angeles, opt for San Francisco instead. From the moment you arrive, you can soak up the ambience of the bay-city. Everything and everyone seems to be more relaxed than other cities in the US and I’m sure it has something to do with the spectacular bay that the city is built around. Your first stop should be the Golden Gate Bridge. It sits majestically at the entrance to the...

Sedona, is one of the hidden gems of Arizona. Only 2 ½ hours drive from both the Grand Canyon, and Phoenix, be sure to put this place on your itinerary when you are next travelling to this part of the world. We visited as part of a road-trip we did from Las Vegas to Phoenix, and was definitely one of the highlights and surprises. Better known as Red Rock country, you can immediately see why. I have always been fascinated by Cuba, ever since I was a young boy, but I never really understood the political situation between Cuba & the USA and that it was all a big secret. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to visit, even if it was just to see the vintage chevvies and the old decaying buildings, and I wanted to go back to a time when there was no internet, mobile phone or laptop to occupy my thoughts. Arriving very very late into Havana in the evening (thanks to our delayed flight with...

When I rocked up to the Brisbane Cruise Ship Wharf, all I had running through my head was that I was going to see the original ‘Love Boat’, but alas there was no Doc, Isaac or Julie the cruise director, but what I found was much more than I expected. This is where our adventure began. As we ascended up the 30 steps toward the gangway, we wondered how the crew dealt with their elderly and less mobile travelers. Luckily they have a separate gangway with no stairs that brings them onto the ship on a lower deck and they catch...

Visiting Melbourne is always great, but Melbourne in January is by far the best time to visit. The sun is shining (mostly), its warm, everyone is happy to shed the winter layers and the sporting capital of Australia comes alive. The start of the Australian Open Tennis and the continuation of the T20 Cricket will keep any sports mad fan happy. There is a great buzz around town with the endless bars and restaurants full to capacity. Melbourne really is a foodie heaven. From the moment you land at the airport, the stress of everyday life starts to melt away and you begin island time. The arrivals staff at the airport are very welcoming and friendly and will direct you to where you need to go. Hopefully there is only one flight arriving at a time as the airport is small with only 1 baggage carousel. We chose to fly Air NZ via Auckland due to the better flight schedules, but Virgin Australia also fly direct from Sydney & Brisbane. The flights were perfectly comfortable with very standard meals, and I saw glimpses why...
