Royal Caribbean ships are well-known for being packed with fantastic amenities and endless activities. Boredom will be kept at bay with new experiences around every corner, and with new ship Symphony of the Seas launching in April, Royal Caribbean continues to innovate cruising and bring even more good times on board.
The fourth ship of the Oasis-class mega ships, Symphony is brimming with fabulous facilities. The choice of dining venues is beyond extensive, the accommodation spacious and comfortable, and the entertainment is simply show-stopping.
Symphony of the Seas brings with it new suite categories including the Ultimate Family Suite, with its games area, a huge blackboard for doodling on and slide! This suite is designed purely with families in mind with a decor that will thrill younger guests and give them a holiday they'll never forget.
You'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. There's a whole host of brand-new restaurants on board such as Hooked, which offers delicious seafood dishes. There’s also El Loco Fresh with a range of Mexican favourites like burritos, tacos and salsas added to the existing Royal Caribbean dining establishments. If you're in the mood for adventure how about a white-knuckle ride on the tallest slide at sea? Ultimate Abyss has a 100ft drop and is sure to get the adrenaline pumping. If you want to make a big splash, then there’s always the Perfect Storm waterslides.
For a cruise embarking from the UK check out Independence of the Seas. Regularly voted as the most popular ship to cruise from Southampton, she’s packed with many of Royal Caribbean’s most exciting features, and in 2018 she debuts a new makeover with some epic upgrades - the first being Sky Pad, a thrilling bungee trampoline experience incorporating VR technology, so you can bounce over huge moon craters on an intergalactic journey.
The waterpark on board Independence has been upgraded to Splashaway Bay, with a whole host of exhilarating new slides. Other new activities for the family include a laser tag arena and an escape room, so get ready for some family teamwork while you solve a series of puzzles to get out before time is up! There’s new dining venues to enjoy too, including the Asian fusion restaurant Izumi and the aptly-named Fish and Ships, serving up classic British snacks. You can also catch up with the latest sports and maybe get a little competitive yourself at Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade or indulge your sweet tooth at Sugar Beach.
Whether you sail on Symphony of the Seas, Independence of the Seas or any ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet, you’re sure to make lasting memories both on board and on the shore.
