My recent trip to Perth was at short notice and I wasn’t disappointed with the service I received from Kris Higgins. She worked in perfectly with my requests of travel times etc. When my return flight was delayed by over 2 hours, she rang me to make sure I knew and then looked into other flights I could get and booked me on another flight that arrived in Brisbane earlier. Kris did everything possible to help me making me a very satisfied customer and I am looking forward to using her service again and will highly recommend her to anyone I know. Many thanks Kris.

Love the flexibility of booking through Kris. Her prices were spot on for our extensive European trip and attention to detail was great. Kris even sent through a reminder that one of our passports was due to expire! We haven't had that level of service from anyone else we have dealt with in the past. We will indeed use Kris for future booking and thoroughly recommend.

Love the idea of a Travel Agent coming to me at a time that suits me. I only had a rough idea what I wanted when I went to Kris. She put a package together without any fuss which helped me to work out what I did and didn't want. When I got back to her there was not a fuss and Kris quickly made the changes with a couple of options to choose from. I'd happily recommend Kris for your travel needs whether business or pleasure. Kris was a former work mate of mine. We shared many enjoyable moments while working at Ansett Airlines. Our work entailed Customer Service where Kris excelled. Then, sometimes difficult situations were a challenge that Kris would take on and achieve. She was a top, much loved workmate and friend. Our work ethic was to do the best for our passengers with a design to get them to come back and travel with us again. If anyone asked me to refer them to a good travel agent, I would not hesitate to recommend Kris.

We can highly recommend Kris from the Travel Councillors. Right from that first phone call, she has organised all our travel requirements in a professional manner. Our first use of her services was a cruise to Tasmania, and being impressed by her vast knowledge and friendly advice, we have engaged her again for a USA trip. Her preparation of all the required documents is immaculate, and we know the back-up will be there if we need it. The Travel Councillors App is very useful and easy to use. So give Kris a go, you won’t regret it.

I have known and worked with Kris for 20 years. I have been her team leader and utilised her skills as an Operational Supervisor. The day to day problems of working in the airline industry requires a great product knowledge and the ability to multitask and think outside the square. Great customer service is essential, plus the ability to empathise with the customer without comprimising the business product. Kris' skills in attaining these complex situations have been exemplary. No matter how hard the task, I could always rely on Kris to deliver the desired results. Kris is a very personalable young woman, reliable, hard working and totally trustworthy. Hi, we used Kris and the Travel Counsellors this year for our band trip to New Caledonia. Kris saved around $50 per person, and was able to ensure our band drums are going free. We used one of the so called "biggest" companies last time and had a number of problems. They were supposed to arrange transport of the drums, but when we arrived at the airport we found it had not been done. We were faced with charges of around $100 per drum, but luckily the State manager of Aircalin was there and was able to waver the cost. That company would also not change the names on 2 tickets even though it was 3 months before we left, and we had to purchase 2 more tickets, and then wait for part refunds. Kris has done a far better job, and kept us informed at all times. John Arnfield, Pipe Major Pipes and Drums, National Servicemen's Memorial Band

I wanted to thank Kris for her words of wisdom, her knowledge and her sense of humour. I was wanting a very complex quote and there were places I never thought I would be able to get to. Kris looked at it all as if it was a giant jigsaw puzzle and went to work and viola there was a quote for me. I am now working hard to be able to book it all with Kris and I would say if you want to make a booking "Call Kris". She has the expertise, the knowledge and wants to book what you want not what someone else wants her to book for the kickbacks. Kris is honest and I would trust her to do any of my bookings, family and friends bookings and even business bookings. Thank you, Kris, for making (or attempting) to make my dream come true. I look forward to booking with you soon.

WOW what service. I called Kris to ask for information on a trip to USA. I had no idea what I wanted or where to go. Kris was a mine of information and we met that afternoon and went through a few options. Kris narrowed down so that the family requirements were at the forefront and now it is a matter of getting leave and then we will be booking this trip of a life time. Well done Kris and I will definitely be recommending you.

Saturday and after a good nights sleep we are up and having breakfast to get ready for another big day. Breakfast itself at the Ritz-Carlton is an absolute smorgasbord the variety is outstanding from cereal, fruits, continental breakfast, Asian breakfast and a chef who cooks fabulous omelets. Then it was check out time and loaded back into the bus and to the Falcon Hospital. I think this was a highlight for me as I love animals and was very interested in how this works. Wow what a great trip. Flew direct from Brisbane to Abu Dhabi on Etihad. Great flight with a wide range of movies, games and information channels. The food was great and plentiful. Seeing as I can never sleep on flights I got to watch 5 of the new release movies to keep me amused. Arrived in Abu Dhabi and we met our guide from Orient Tours Rashu and he was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him. He was a very safe driver and kept the bottles of water cold for us on each...

What a stunning place to go to very homely and welcoming. We had morning tea and then the wine tasting started. WOW is all I can say and I wanted to buy a bottle of each however restrained my self and only purchased a bottle of the Pruner's reward Fortified. Next stop was Maggie Beer's...

Wow what a tour. Even though it does start at 6.10 am and doesn't finish till about 10.30pm it is worth the time. Hotel pick up and off we go down Cape Jervis - about a 2 hour drive. Once there we board the ferry and head over to Kangaroo Island which is a 45 minute trip and on arrival your buses and tour guides await you. First stop was the Eucalyptus Distillery where Larry makes Eucalyptus Oil, Ti-Tree oil and Emu oil in a very rustic way. You will also learn how this and done and...

Visitors will receive a pleasant surprise when travelling the Southern Scenic route, the Geology, Flora and Wildlife are breathtaking. Take note of the ways the trees grow! People are always asking ‘why should I take out Travel Insurance’?! Well I can tell you many reasons why it is best that you do and hopefully you will take it out automatically from now on. When I was working in the Airline Industry I got a lot of calls from people asking for refunds, changes, assistance and even free flights due to medical and work situations all of which would have been covered by Insurance. When asked if they had Insurance it was always the same answer " I didn't think I would need it" or "This was unexpected"....

How long is a piece of string? This is a hard question to answer however there are a few basic rules to follow. Flights can be booked about 10 months in advance depending on the airline. Normally the cheapest months to fly is out of holiday season as the fares are more expensive during school holidays, Christmas and Easter. They also increase when there are major sporting events around the world and the school holidays also overseas count as well. Weather also plays a big part in the prices; cheap airfares are available to Asia during...

HI, well late last year I was lucky enough to win a trip to Singapore with 7 other colleagues. Wow what a trip we had. There were many laughs and lots of experiences. Following an early morning rise and departure from Rome, we ventured south to Napoli. After arriving into what seemed a rather unsafe, dirty and dank train station, we then had a 15-minute walk to our accommodation, through territory that had me holding my bags tight and sticking close to my compatriots. I must admit - NOT what we were expecting. The silver lining was, whilst waiting for check in time, we left our bags and decided to make our way to Pompeii!! Don’t limit yourself if you don’t see availability in and out of Australia which is often the most difficult to find in peak times consider using your points ex Asia to Europe or within Europe country hopping, or within the different continents i.e.: USA, ASIA. 2. Familiarise yourself with all the oneworld carriers you can use and their route network before you make that call. 3. Are you getting what you deserve out of your travel agent? Here are a few things you should be asking: 1. Is the Agent you have chosen experienced to guide you on where to stay and what to do that suits the destination/s you are interested in visiting? 2. Are they offering the airline(s) that best suit your requirements? Your requirements might be “can I upgrade on this airfare”, “what are the costs to make changes prior to travel beginning and whilst you are away”. 3. Who do you call and whats the phone number? Whilst you are overseas generally the agent will...

Domestically it is usually fruit that is an issue travelling from Queensland. 4. Take your own in-flight entertainment i.e. I-Pad, book etc. 5. Try and avoid pandering to their add ons, do your math.
