HI, well late last year I was lucky enough to win a trip to Singapore with 7 other colleagues. Wow what a trip we had. There were many laughs and lots of experiences. We started off the trip by arriving on the Friday night and stayed at Park Hotel Clarke Quay and we checked in for our stay. Off to explore this beautiful city as we had a free night so made the most of it with a walk. Humid and hot but nothing can dampen that feeling when you are on a holiday.

Saturday, up and had breakfast to keep us going for the day and the restaurant had everything you could ask for bacon, eggs any style, Asian brekky, continental or even European breakfast. Little did we know we shouldn't have eaten anything more than a cuppa as we were off on a food tour of Little India. This was such a great experience and we were introduced to so many different foods that it was hard to keep up with all the names but we did keep up with eating and tasting everything, we could. We tried several different drinks as well which were all so delicious. Then we had a walk around the wet markets and then the dry markets and then guess what - More Food. We rolled out of the markets. Next stop was the Indian Heritage Museum to learn the history of this neighbourhood. We then had 4 hours free time so I took off to go to my favourite shop called Mustafa's which is about 3 blocks in size and sells anything and everything and is open 4 hours. Back to the hotel to freshen up and then off we went to Gardens by the Bay - I could have spent 3 whole days in this fabulous place. The gardens are huge and stunning and so many varieties and themes for the displays of the plants. We spent a bit of time wandering around and then off to the Super tree for drinks and dinner on the top of the tree. The views are spectacular and we watched as a storm came in and then once the rain started we went down to the restaurant and had our meal there. After dinner we then went back downstairs and watched the light display for the trees. They have 2 shows at night and the music is played and the trees lights dance to the tunes.

Sunday - up and breakfast and yes, we needed to eat today as it was going to be jam packed with adventure. We headed off to Sentosa Park and there we were like kids. First off, we went to the butterfly park where we learnt all about butterflies and then I got kicked by the 2nd largest pigeon the world - don't laugh they hurt and I had a huge bruise for a week where it kicked me. We went in the cable car to the top, then caught the luge back down, then back up on the ski lift then went to the 4d shows, rode pretend horses and had a shootout and then here we go Ziplined it back to the beach. Yes, they actually found a harness big enough for me and I gave it a go. Off I zipped and landed safely and then off to lunch at a lovely restaurant and relax. Back to the hotel for a couple of hours then a lovely hosted dinner at the Park Hotel. The food was spectacular.

Last day and today we did 4 hotel inspections The Fullerton, Swissotel and the Fairmont and then we ended up at the Mandarin Orchard where we ended the tour with an absolute fabulous lunch. You have to experience it to understand just how good it was so I would highly recommend going there and give yourself a lot of time to do it.

Off the Marina Bay Sands hotel where we went to the top and had a cocktail while enjoying the view and then it was time to head back to the hotel and then the airport and fly home.

I saw and did so many things in these 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed myself and learnt so much more of what Singapore has to offer. Go on give yourself a break and head on over there make sure you book through me so I can give you lots of information and hints.
